They ARE acknowledged. They are acknowledged by their friends, family, coworkers, bill collectors, associates, neighbors, pets… This is so immature, lack of media coverage doesn’t mean lack of acknowledgement. If every death made the news, we’d have 24 hr news networks dedicated to the coverage that NO ONE will watch short of the family and friends of the featured. Ugh this sort of thing goes around every time a celeb dies. This celebrity touched millions of lives, I’m sorry but the world doesn’t care if uncle Mick choked on a hamburger because THEY DON’T KNOW WHO UNCLE MICK IS. Also, I’d like to point out that we watch every aspect of their life through a magnifier. Why doesn’t anyone complain about how when they donate money to a charity they get cameras and recognition, but when your neighborhood millionaire does it they MAY get a framed picture in the hallway? They get coverage because they are covered for every second of their life, why SHOULDN’T we know when they die?Sorry, but it’s the truth. Before I get the hate mail, I’ll answer the question: Yes I’ve had someone close to me die, and yes, I did wish the world knew what they were missing out on and how depressed me and my family were when it happened and during the weeks that followed.
